Zakat Simple

Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

These terms govern your use of the Zakat Simple website and apps (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What Zakat Simple is

Zakat Simple is a tool to help you estimate and organize your Zakāt and giving. It is provided for your convenience and general information only. It is not religious, financial, legal, or tax advice, and it is not a substitute for the guidance of a qualified scholar or professional. Zakāt rulings differ between scholars and schools of thought, and the figures the app produces depend on the information and methodology choices you provide. You are responsible for verifying your own Zakāt obligations.

2. Your account

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to disrupt it, gain unauthorized access to other users’ data, reverse-engineer or copy it for a competing product, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

4. Your data

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect and how we handle it. You retain ownership of the information you enter, and you can export or delete it as described there.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, including its name, logo, design, text, and software, belongs to Zakat Simple and is protected by applicable laws. You may use the Service for your personal Zakāt management but may not copy, resell, or redistribute it without permission. Educational content within the app is provided for general understanding and may be revised.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. Calculations are estimates based on the inputs and methodology you select and on third-party market prices that may be delayed or inaccurate. We do not warrant that any calculation satisfies your religious obligation.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zakat Simple and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the Service or any calculation it produces. Your use of the Service is at your own discretion and risk.

8. Changes to the Service and these terms

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, and we may update these terms from time to time. When we update them, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where local law requires otherwise. (Update this section to your province/state of operation.)
